Top 6 Google Adsense Alternatives to Make Money Online

By

Are you searching for a way to make money onlie? Google Adsense would be one of the best choice because Google has proven itself as a leader in the entire web space through their adwords and adsense program. Google AdSense seems to be an essential part of any website where the publisher seeks to keep quality content available for free. However, what whether you are not accepted into the Google AdSense program, or you don't want to do business with Google. Sometimes publisher or a blogger also required to take a look at the alternatives of Google Adsene to make money online just because Google has banned a publisher account for click fraud or not adhering to their policy.

Perhaps if that may be not the case and you are having an adsense account. There are a number of contextual ad programs which you can run along with Google Adsense to make some extra cash online.

There are lots of contextual advertising network currently offered on the internet and it may confuse you to opt a better alternative of Adsense. So here you can go with my personal top 6 Google Adsense alternatives recommendations to make money online. But before choosing an alternative to Google Adsense, I would suggest to check out what kind of traffic you are generating to your blog.

No Amazon products found

1) Adbrite

According to me, Adbrite is currently probably the most popular ad networks after Google Adsense to make money online. The most efficient feature I like about Adbrite is, approval and rejection of each advertisement in users' control before it's displayed on their websites or blogs. It helps to display advertisement related to the content of your blog. Furthermore you are allowed to modify the style of advertisement according to your blog format. Adbrite offers ads by content, banners, in-line text ads(such as Kontera or Infolink), and full page ads. To make money through Adbrite, You need to register with their website and they will your website/blog withing couple of days.

Payout: 100$ or you can choose.

2) Bidvertiser

Bidvertiser is another good alternative of Google Adsense. It's somewhat similar to Google Adsense and offering you only contextual and feed advertisements. Their ad formats look such as Google Adsense ads. The most important thing I like about Bidvertiser is that they offer your ad space to the highest bidder. So Bidvertiser could be a good choice for you. However, these ads cannot be used along with Adsense but it could be a great choice if you are not having an adsense account.

Payment: Paypal and Checks.
Payout: Min $25 by Check, Paypal min $10

3) Infolinks

In-text ads (also called inline ads) are presently on the edge of becoming standard practice. You can now find In-text ads all over the web, covering billions of page views and generate millions of dollars in revenue. And Infolinks is leading the in-text ads providers. Upon a mouse hove on double-underlined links, a small bubble holding an advertisement will be opened up. You will generate revenue when your visitors will click on those links. This is the basic ad formate of Infolinks. It could be a good choice for blogs which are generation high traffic. It's pretty easy to setup. Register with Infolinks website, copy and paste a short JavaScript code on your blog and your accounts will be reviewd within 24 hours.

Payment: PayPal, Bank Wire, ACH
Minimum payout: $50

4) Kontera

Kontera is the second most popular inline text ad network. HubPages also allows revenue sharing using Kontera In-Text ads. You just need to add your Go in your HuPage Account, click on Affiliate Settings, add your Kontera Affiliate Code in the field of Kontera and you are done. Now onwards, each time you create a new Hub, Hubpages embeds Kontera In-Text advertising for you. Your blog will require good page impression to get approval in Kontera. However, they offers good customer support and pays on time. What I like about Kontera is their affiliate program. Kontera has it's own affiliate program which can help you make some extra cash. If a publisher sign up through your affiliate link, you will receive a bonus of 10% of their Net Revenue for the first year with Kontera. However, I would suggest to go through their terms and condition before you go with Kontera Affiliate Program.

Payment: PayPal, Bank Wire, ACH (Only for U.S. bank accounts)
Minimum payout: $50

5) Chitika

Chitika was founded in 2003 and having hundreds of name brand advertisers and merchants. Chitika could be a good alternative if your blog is all about review and promoting products. Do strong keyword research on a product your are going to promote and you will earn better with Chitika.

Payment: Paypal and checks.
Minimum Payout: $10 for Paypal, $50 for checks.

6) Clicksor

Clicksor is short of similar to Chitika and Infolinks. Cliksor displays ads depends on the search query that your visitors use to find your website. This makes Clicksor different from other Ad networkds. One more matchless thing about Clicksor is it's Net15 system. If you need money fast then Clicksor could be the best choice for you. It pays every 15 days to their publishers instead of every 30 days like most ad networks.

Payment: Paypal.
Minimum payout: $50

There are many other ways to make money online. If you are good in writing fresh, informative and original content,  you can start making money on HubPage itself using Amazone and Ebay Affiliate Programs.

Do you have feedback of using any of Google Adsense alternatives? I will appreciate if you would like to share them below in comment box.

Thanks for the information jack01, I will check out Infolinks I think.

jack01 20 months ago

Hi Alison,

You are welcome. Well, I would recommend to check out Kontera too. You can embed Kontera in your hubpages too. I just went through your profile and you have created 55 hubpages till date so I think you can do better with Kontera. However, it's just recommendation.... :)

Nice Alternatives Jack, I familiar with kontera & infolinks

are such good Adsense alternatives. Thanks

rumbling 20 months ago

I have used most of these services and according to my experience Infolinks is the best option. Bidvertiser doesn't have enough advertisers in some niches so there CPC is relatively low. Adbrite is alright but because Infolinks are displayed in the body of the text they generally have a high click rate. And you can use it with Adsense

jack01 20 months ago

@rumbling

Have you tried Kontera? And how is your experience with it?

Sehnonimo 20 months ago

I didn't realize there were that many! I knew of a few other ad sites, and I've heard of kontera (except I can't stand those in-text ads - they drive me insane!), and I think I might try out adbrite for one of the blogs I'm planning on launching, just to test things out.

Just out of curiosity, can you use both Google adsense and say adbrite on the same page, or will Google get mad like it does at everything else? For example, the last sentence on this first paragraph of this page, you spelled Google "Googld" ...I'm not sure, but I think Google docks you for that ; ) Just kidding.

jack01 20 months ago

@Sehnonimo

Here is what AdBrite says: "AdBrite has no policy against using multiple ad networks on the same site. though, we recommend you contact those networks directly for their specific policies regarding multiple networks."

And what Google Adsense says: "AdSense publishers may display ads from other contextual ad networks on the same page as Google ads only if the formatting or color scheme of these ads is sufficiently different from the layout of the Google ads." "If the formats are naturally similar, we'd ask that you use different color schemes for the competing ads."

If you choose different ad format and color schemes from the Adsense, then yes you can go with both Contextual Ad Networks on the Same Page.

And yes... Thanks for pointing out the typo mistake.... :)

craigc 20 months ago

Thank you for this, very useful. I have been thinking of giving Adbrite a try for some time now, Didn't really know much about the others.

jomedia 20 months ago

fine

jack01 20 months ago

@craigc

If your site/blog has hundreds of pages and you are getting plenty of visitors on your site, then I would suggest to give Kontera or Infolinks a try. It may work very well for you.

suriya99 20 months ago

Very Good. Google

lex123 20 months ago

This list will be really useful to those who do not have a google adsense account or those who have been banned/rejected by adsense.

jack01 20 months ago

@lex123

Yes. I absolutely do agree with you. In fact, this was the main reason which inspired me to create this HubPage.

Sergei loves Data 20 months ago

I see you are using Kontera in this page!

If you are not banned from Adsense, does makes sense to use a different network. Kontera or Infolinks looks a good blend with adsense formats. Any opinion on this?

jack01 20 months ago

@Sergei loves Data

Yes. You can use different ad networks with Adsense too. Just make sure that formatting or color scheme of these ads are enough different from the layout of the Google adsense.

If your site/blog has plenty of pages then Kontera or Infolinks could be a good choice to make extra money.

juncolt 20 months ago

BenjaminB 20 months ago

A couple of these I had not heard of so a good list in my opinion jack01. If you have your own website it would be a great idea to diversify your earning potential by using more than 1 type of advertising as different people like their ads delivered in different ways.

jack01 20 months ago

@BenjaminB

Yes. It would be great to monetize your website for at least two ad networks. I would go with Adsense(if don't have Adsense account then Adbrite) and Kontera.

Sandyksk 20 months ago

Very informative, I also did not realize there were alternatives. I'm waiting on my Adsense 'approval', so at least I know there are alternatives, which will be helpful for other sites as well. Thank you very much.

thekittyhut 20 months ago

Thank you for the info! Think Im going to give Clicksor a try. I dont like Adbrite and i tried signing up for Chitika a couple weeks ago and this is what they e-mailed me " Important Update! Please be advised that at this time, we are in the process of some major upgrades in our service. As we prepare to transition to an upgraded version of Chitika ads, we are temporarily holding off on approving new domains and accounts."

jack01 20 months ago

@thekittyhut

May be they are having some major upgrades so they have put new domains on holdings. You may try later. Btw, good luck for Clicksor!!! I would like to know your Clicksor experience.

Getting back to you on my Clicksor experience. Stay away from Clicksor They have pop up ads with viruses in them.

jack01 19 months ago

luciano63 19 months ago

Hi, great hub. I use Adsense and infolinks togethere here and it works: http://www.lucianobove.blogspot.com

I use clicksor + Linkbucks here (because banned by Adsense on this blog) http://www.pastaperte.blogspot.com and results are: Linkbucks OK, but Clicksor very very bad!!! 01 centime per day!!! I used instead Adbrite and nothing! I tried Bidvertiser and NOTHING! The only good thing is Simply Publisher (also english version existing)and I have again some clicks but never at the same level of Adsense.

Conclusion:

The best is: Adsense (excellent)

The second is: Infolinks (good)

The third is: Linkbucks and Linkbee (very similar performance, medium positive level)

The fourth is: Simply Publisher (medium positive level)

Adbrite - Bidvertiser - Clicksor: very very bad!

Ciao.

Infolinks is just a small income source compared to AdSense, but still is better than nothing. For me, Text Link Ads is as good as AdSense, when carefully followed (loosing some PR, though).

tristand 19 months ago

Incredibly useful - It's always good to know what else is on offer. I've been tossing up for a while what company to use, and Adbrite is beginning to look very tempting!

Rajib 19 months ago

adbrite and bidvertiser is not good for low traffic. infolinks is good only for huge text based contents. Others ads alternative has also many problem. So, i think google adsense is the best..

Johnny Joe 19 months ago

Hi,

In my opinion, clicksor, chitika need publishers with huge traffic. If you have a website with fewer traffic, they dont approve your website easily. Adbrite and Bidvertiser and easy to use and work fine. Bidvertiser is better than adbrite as you get more contextual ads. However, the click value is very less when compared to google adsense.

mnonline 19 months ago

I have tried most of the 6 adsense alternatives except chitika and clicksor. The best still is google adsense. Some niches pay well got need to find the right one. I tried Kontera with one of my niches and the payout per ad is pretty high. Now, im focusing on google adsense only :)
